  Christina's House
Did you know the fastest growing segments of the homeless population are families with children. Nationally one in 45 children are homeless and in Massachusetts the average age of a homeless child is only 8 years old. In the city of Springfield, there has been an increase of homeless families, and among them homeless women with children. Christina's House was placed on Linda Mumblo's heart by God, and she stepped out to do what seemed to be impossible; create transitional housing for women and children.

Christina's house was birthed with a vision to answer the cries of women with children in Springfield with a safe place called home, and is designed to provide transitional housing, but more importantly to offer emotional, spiritual, physical and educational support. Their goal is to provide a holistic approach that will help women and their children transition from homelessness to permanent, stable living environments.

To find out more about this critical local mission, visit their website below and you will discover more about their mission, vision, and plans. If you would like to schedule a tour of Christina's House, donate, adopt a room, or volunteer call Linda at the number below

  Devereux Therapuetic Foster Care
Have you been thinking about becoming a foster parent? Devereux Therapeutic Foster Care in West Springfield is a not-for-profit social service agency that provides foster care services for at-risk children with special emotional, developmental and educational needs.

Our foster care program provides services for children between the ages of birth to 22. The majority of our clients are between the ages of 6 to 17. The children who we serve may have had histories of abuse, both physical and sexual, neglect, or may have witnessed other forms of violence in the home. Because of these reasons, the children are removed from the home and are placed in foster care where they can become healthier while they work on their treatment goals.

Devereux Therapeutic Foster Care is actively recruiting caring families who are willing to open their doors and hearts to a foster child. To improve a child's life, call today regarding the minimum qualifications, and to see if you may qualify.
